If you are pregnant, please advise Travel with Flair well in advance and indicate how many weeks pregnant you will be at the time of travel.

Flying is permitted up to 28 weeks for a routine pregnancy. It is recommended that all pregnant women carry with them a letter from their obstetrician/general practitioner or midwife stating the following:

  • Term of pregnancy.
  • Due date.
  • Fitness of travel.
  • Whether it’s a single, multiple, or high-risk pregnancy.
  • Any possible complication, including hypertensive passengers, history of premature labour, etc.

Tax Liability

According to the income tax legislation, an individual must pay tax on any gift or incentive received, i.e. cash, vouchers, physical assets, trips etc. (in this case the SanlamConnect National Convention 2026). Therefore, a taxable amount will be passed to your remuneration statement (taxable but not payable) based on SARS-compliant calculation.

In terms of Sanlam's policy, we will pay you an additional amount to cover the tax that became payable on this fringe benefit. This additional payment (taxable and payable) will also show on your remuneration statement.
